Cricket (2)
Cricket, the most English of games (too gentlemanly surely to be a mere sport), has manifested itself in my work many times, two examples herewith. Such is my affection for it, but complete lack of ability to play, that my autobiography is to be titled "Captain of the Leftovers".
'Skip' is based on a friend of ours with the surname Fenner, a name well known in Kentish Cricketing Circles from years gone by.

Church Window
In 1998 or maybe 9, I was asked by our Vicar Geoff and church architect (my trombonist friend) Keith, if I would like to do a millennium window for St. Peters, Boughton Monchelsea. I hesitated for 2 millionths of a second and said "yes", then realised I'd never done one before. Thanks to many kind and helpful people it worked and I am now very proud of it (if that's ok?)
This etching was actually produced after the window's completion and is in some way an extension of it. Try to see the real thing too.
